Hammer For Fun - Tuesday Night Ride
Tuesday Night Rides
  • Tuesday, 6:00pm CDT-8:00pm CDT   Ical event icon
  • Join us again this summer every Tuesday night for a fun, social road ride. This is a great way to meet other cyclists in the community and get in some riding during the week. Whether you're new to cycling or a veteran, we encourage you to come join us! It's best to show up by 5:45, sign our ride waiver, and be ready to roll by 6:00. We’ll split into A, B, and C groups before departing. The C group averages 12-14 mph over about 20 miles (with a shorter cutoff available) and will regroup at various points mid-ride. This is a strictly no-drop (no rider left behind) group. All bikes are welcome, including road bikes, fat bikes, hybrids, and e-bikes. This is a conversational pace and very friendly to new riders. C route: https://www.strava.com/routes/2712469545123194532 The B group rides a bit longer to Bayshore park and back (about 25 miles) and averages anywhere from 16-20 mph. We'll work to keep the group together on the way out to Bayshore, on the way back along Nicolet the ride will typically split into smaller groups depending on pace. Open to all bikes, but in this group you'll have an easier time on a road, touring, or gravel bike. B route: https://www.strava.com/routes/2712472211221598884 The A group covers about 35 miles, taking a longer route to Bayshore park and averages 20+ mph. This is a much more spirited group, and a great chance to test your fitness. A route: https://www.strava.com/routes/2712473235762864804 As always, please observe the rules of the road during this ride. Stop at intersections, be courteous to motorists, communicate with other riders, and be aware! No bluetooth speakers or headphones are allowed on the ride. Junior riders are welcome, helmets are a must, and smiles are mandatory. See you soon! https://www.facebook.com/events/1083429408870861/?event_time_id=1083454728868329

  • Saturday, 11:00pm CDT-2:00am CDT   Ical event icon
  • Michigan Titanium (MiTi) is Michigan's only Ultra-Distance (140.6) Triathlon. This event also hosts Half and Olympic Distance Events including triathlon, aquabike, duathlon, swim-only, and relay events in all three distances The 2022 MiTi will be the host of USAT Ultra Distance Nationals. This is the second time we have hosted a USAT National Championship in our ten year history. In 2017 & 2018 we hosted USAT regional championships. Make plans to join us on Sunday August 14 for this exciting event. The main venue for the Mi Titanium is Versluis Park in Plainfield Township, Michigan. A 1.2 mile loop swim will be in Versluis Lake, a very clean and clear lake that does not allow the use of gas motors. The Ultra Tri will be a double loop swim, the Half Tri will be a single loop and the Olympic will be an out & back. This is a spectator friendly swim. Transition is located in a large paved parking lot adjacent to the park. The Bike will leave the park on Northland drive and quickly turn onto Cannonsburg Rd, generally heading east and back with a loop course. The Ultra Tri will be a double loop 112 mile bike, the Half Tri will be a single loop 56 miles, and the Olympic Tri will be an out & back of 24.8 miles. Following transition back at Versluis Park, the run will head south on Northland Drive to Grand River Ave. The out & back run course will go through Plainfield and Ada, remaining east of the Beltline. The Ultra Tri is a 4 lap course of 26.2 marathon distance, the Half Tri will be two lap at 13.1 miles and the Olympic is a single lap of 6.2 miles. The finish line is located at the drive into Versluis Park and allows for participants to cross with friends, family, their third grade teacher, or their furry pet friends (you decide who you want to celebrate with and we'll cheer you on with our family friendly finish line). https://www.facebook.com/events/1051926972257376/
