Title Name eMail Joined Race Experiece Biography
President Curt Beutler cbeutler@new.rr.com 2019 11x Ironman, 1x ITU Long Course World Championships, 33 years of triathlons Sports have been part of my life from my earliest days. I “participated” in the main stream sports but my emphasis (or my Dad’s emphasis) was swimming (competing since I was 6) and running (competing since I was 9). Biking came along with competing in triathlons after college. Triathlons started as a family sport, both my brother and dad raced, and has remained part of my family experience. Triathlons, or healthy living, has grown as our family has grown and I realize this is not so much a sport for me but truly a way of living life - beyond a life style. I love to support all-comers who are willing to step up to a challenge and work towards being the best that they can be. Commitment and consistency changes lives!!
Vice-President Andy Bischoff Bish903@yahoo.com 2015, 2019 1x Ironman (2015), 3x HIM, Fall 50 solo, Over 30 half marathons, 5 marathons, and countless shorter races Long time runner who ran in college at UWGB and started running half and full marathons years later. Started volunteering with myTEAM TRIUMPH in 2012 and was introduced to triathlon at the Door County Tri that year. From that race I knew I needed to get involved as a participant and began preparation for my first tri. Needless to say I love the sport of triathlon and it quickly became my favorite. My wife Katie has graciously supported my training and races over the years. We have two kids (ages 3 and 9 months) that keep us on our toes everyday! I work as a Personal Trainer in the Green Bay area and love to help people with their fitness goals! I'm looking forward to helping GBMS grow so that more people in the area can experience the joy of endurance athletics!
Treasurer Brittany Reinke Bfred081@gmail.com 2021 Lots of 5ks and 10ks, 5 1/2 Marathons, 1 Marathon, 2 team Fall 50s, and my first Sprint Triathlon in 2021. 2022 is my year of deferrals, so lots on the schedule! Basketball and Track and FIELD athlete growing up. 2x WIAA State Champion in Discus and GB Preble School Record holder. 3x NCAA Division 3 National Runner Up in Discus. Competed in Shot Put, Weight Throw, Hammer, and Discus for UW Eau Claire. Held all 5 school records until 2018. Missed competition so started running after college. First 1/2 marathon in 2012. First full marathon in 2015. Got bored so signed up for DoCo Sprint in 2021. I’m still a strong “not drowner” but I’m starting to figure it out. My “day job” is a Physical Therapist for Walking and Wheeling. I help kiddos with special needs get into adaptive equipment to help them move more easily. We do medical and recreational equipment. Looking forward to many more years of competition at whatever level my body can handle. My husband, Tyler, and I have been married since 2017 and we have two kiddos Jameson- 2017 and Aria-2019). We want to be an active healthy family.
Secretary Liz Huempfner benlizkyle@gmail.com 2019 Running: 3x full marathons, 17x half marathons, 12x Bellin Run (24 total - walked the event 1994-2005), plus countless local 5k, 10k, and 15k races. *Triathon: Registered for 2021 IMWI Ironman (will be my first!), 2x 70.3 (Steelhead and Chisago Lakes), 2x Olympic distance, and 20+ Sprint distance. I started doing triathlons in 2006 after a friend talked me into it. Fell in love with the sport immediately! After doing sprint triathlons for 10 years, I finally took the plunge and tried an Olympic distance in 2016. Loved it and decided to try a 70.3. Did Steelhead in 2018 (the year with the epic, wavy swim!). Surviving the swim was a huge confidence boost and I knew that a full Ironman was what I wanted next. I am super excited about IMWI in September! I am married to Ben (25 years) and we have one son, Kyle (19 years old). I teach 3rd grade in Oconto Falls and am the Kids For Running coach in the spring for 3rd-5th graders. I love staying active for the health benefits, but also for the camaraderie. I have met so many wonderful people through running, biking, and triathlons and enjoy the lifestyle. It really is a passion and I love talking "shop" with other athletes!
At Large Member Michael Gossen mjgossen14@yahoo.com 2014 2x Ironman, 4x HIM, 4x sprints. I plunged full into triathlons after doing 1 sprint for fun. I did my first full in 2016 and another the next year. I enjoy meeting up with and working hard with fellow athletes. I was an assistant women's hockey coach, and the experience keeps me mindful of hard work, overall strenght and conditioning, and the imporane of correct movements to keep me on track.
At Large Member Cheri McInnes cheri.mcinnes@yahoo.com 2020 2 half Ironman, 3 Full Ironman, 15 half marathons, 7 full marathons After participating in High School Sports, Cross Country and Track, I contined to run in my 20's. After several years I convinced my non-believer neighbor that running was fun. She joined me one day and I worked her up to a 5k, when SHE convinced ME to participate in my first official race, the Fox Cities 5K in 1999. Placed 1st in my age group! This led to many more races including 10K, 15K, 20K, Relays, half marathons and finally my first full marathon on 10/10/10 in Chicago. I've ran 15 half marathons, 7 full marathons (not including Ironman's). With meeting friends that enjoyed multisport, I was talked into participating in my first Sprint tri in Winneconne in 2015 placing 1st in my AG using my Hybrid bike! From there I decided this is my new sport! Bought my first tribike at the end of 2015 and signed up for my first 70.3 in 2016, did another one month later, and an Oly tri. Continued into 2017. Decided 2018 I'd attempt a Full, Ironman Madison. After running that red carpet and having all the feels that went with it, meeting so many people along my journey, there was no turning back! I've accomplished 7 Half distance and 3 Full Ironmans with #4 in progress! While I love all 3 disciplines, I also love the camaraderie and the new friendships that have came out of it. I enjoy listening to everyone's story, being a support and sharing advice. Outside of triathon I work as a Sr. Sales Operations Specialist at Trilliant, have a supportive Tri Hubby, and 3 Stepsons.
